Instructions For Posting Shows on TheLocalSounds.net

Navigate to Shows>>Add Show

Step Three:

There are three tabs on the Add Show page (Name of show, date, time price etc), Organizer (for promoter info), and Additional Information (For adding descriptions, links, flyers and videos).

Event Name tab:

The Event Name Field is the name that will display in thelocalsounds.net side bar and on the Shows page. This can be the Headlining acts name or otherwise catchy title such as "Free All Ages Punk Show"! Mandatory Field
The Alias tab determines what the URL will look like and should usually be the same as the Event Name field. This field will create a URL that looks like thelocalsounds.net/shows/free-all-ages-punk-show and will help your listing appear in search engines.Mandatory Field
Place field is for the venue's name. You can put the venues address in the "Additional Information" tab. Mandatory Field
Event Status you don't have to worry about
From Date is the day of the event and the To date is the last day of the show for events that span multiple days. Mandatory Field
Reserve date - Don't worry about this one either
From Time and to time is for the start and end time of the event and should be in the format HH:MM (Hour:Min, so 01:30 would be 1:30)
Category and Private event you don't have to worry about-
Published should be set to yes unless you don't want it to show up on the Shows List.
Price you should put the Day of Show ticket price here and list pre-sale and advance ticket prices in the "Additional Information" tab

Organizer Tab:

Contact info should include somebody who can answer additional questions about the event. (Sometimes this is a promoter or venue or band)

Additional Information tab:

This is where you need to add info such as flyer pics, venue address, artist links, videos etc.
To add Video from..

YouTube type {youtube}video_id{/youtube }The video_id can be found in the video share link EXAMPLE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DV81bAghxBU (Copy and Paste the blue part)
MySpace type {myspace}video_id{/myspace} The video_id can be found in the video share link EXAMPLE http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=37910278

Step Four:

After you have entered all of your event info you may hit the submit button. If you hit the submit button and nothing happens check through the tabs to ensure you have filled in all of the Mandatory Fields. After a successful submission you will see it on our Shows Page.
